Puppy Training
Puppy Training in Virginia Beach
No puppy is the same, so no puppy training program should be the same. At Hampton Roads Dog Training, we customize our training methods to fit the specific needs of you and your new, furry bundle of joy. Our training program for puppies will cover everything from crate training to potty training to socialization.
Our professional dog trainer will not only teach your puppy good behavior, we will ensure that you, the dog owner will understand how to communicate with your dog.
Typical puppy problems include:
- Socialization—getting along with strange pets and people
- Bonding—getting along with people/pets within your household
- Housebreaking—relieving himself outside of the designated area
- Hyperactivity—nipping, chewing, barking, and jumping
- Leash Breaking—learning to walk nicely on a leash, without pulling/lunging
- Basic Manners—sit, down, come when called, stay commands
In-Home Training Sessions to Help Your Puppy
Hampton Roads Dog Training trainer will discuss the specific results you’d like to see and then schedule a two hour in-home consultation. During this consultation, our professional dog trainer will view the behavior for themselves and make recommendations based on their observations. Should you choose to hire them based on this, they’ll work with you to get your puppy’s tail wagging without all the adorable but aggravating mischief.
Basic Training to Teach Your Puppy Good Behaviors
Puppy training is very important because, while they are small now and therefore the problems seem small, your puppy will grow up, the behavior will become more ingrained in their minds, and their habits may get even worse or simply become more difficult to eradicate. We use positive reinforcement to help your dog learn good manners and prevent any behavior problems can develop.
