Virginia Beach Puppy Training Program!

No puppy is the same, so no puppy training program should be the same. At Hampton Roads Dog Training, we customize our training methods to fit the specific needs of you and your new, furry bundle of joy.

Typical puppy problems include:

  • Socialization—getting along with strange pets and people
  • Bonding—getting along with people/pets within your household
  • Housebreaking—relieving himself outside of the designated area
  • Hyperactivity—nipping, chewing, barking, and jumping
  • Leash Breaking—learning to walk nicely on a leash, without pulling/lunging
  • Basic Obedience—sit, down, come, stay commands

Your puppy may exhibit one or several of these behavior problems. A Hampton Roads Dog Training trainer will discuss the specific results you’d like to see over the phone, and then schedule an in-home consultation. During this consultation, trainers view the behavior for themselves and make recommendations based on their observations. Should you choose to hire them based on this, they’ll work with you to get your puppy’s tail wagging without all the adorable but aggravating mischief.

Puppy training is very important because, while they are small now and therefore the problems seem small, your puppy will grow up, the behavior will become more ingrained in their minds, and their habits may get even worse or simply become more difficult to eradicate.

Did you know?

A puppy’s most crucial developmental period is between the ages of 8 weeks and 16 weeks. This means if you have a puppy that is 16 weeks or younger, now is the time to give us a call!

If we don’t successfully solve your puppy problems, or if you experience any new behavior problems as he ages, we offer a discount on our in-home training program for older dogs.

Take the time now to ensure you’re bonding with your puppy the right way, by giving him the tools to succeed as an older dog.
